Strictures - Contemporary Poems Mostly about People Who Do Awful Things

Strictures

His mind at an impasse,
What it’s like to see
The world in only two colors,
Limited palette of options.

Were there a way to persuade
Him of what happens when
The road narrows and
Reason vanishes.

So much more out there,
A vivid landscape
Free from the confines
Of strictures.
