It was never going to
Go her way.
An abrupt,
Blunt realization.
It seemed so simple:
Feel for someone else.
No empathy forthcoming,
Just coldness.
Discarded when no longer
Feeding the pathology.
Rejected, unneeded,
Wondrous opportunities appear.
