So, it happens again,
And again, and another
Time, the unthinkable
Becoming commonplace.
Platitudes will be
Uttered half-heartedly,
Betraying the truth.
They’ll do nothing
To protect us,
The all-powerful dollar
Feeds their all-consuming
Lust for power.
