For years I published other talented poets’ work on various websites and my submission pages would ask for thoughtful, sophisticated, mature, urbane, nuanced poetry that possesses depth and refinement.
It struck me as I was developing this site that those adjectives are how I would describe my own poems and the poetry I love reading. My taste in poetry is a reflection of who I am as a person, as is this website and my books.
There is a lot of great poetry to read online, encompassing all kinds of styles. It’s truly wonderful that people have access to such a wide variety of works, each one reflecting its author’s vision, background, sensibility, and life experience.
