I’m poet Guy Farmer and I write pithy poetry about the human condition.
I had a reader in Seattle email me saying that, “Your poems are outwardly brief but inwardly rich with meaning.”
I try to write in a way that says more with less. My poems are loved by people who enjoy minimalist poetry and who don’t want to be spoon fed all the answers or meaning of the work.
Here are some examples of my pithy poetry:
- Acrimony
- Swarms
- It Can Never Happen Here
- She Knew What It Was Like
- Unappreciated
- Top of the Food Chain
- Exposed
- Awful Agenda
- She Gets to Keep Her Car
- A Position

- How to Fix Our Public Schools
- First World Problems
- This Very Moment
- I Stay at Home
- Not an Option

- It Didn’t Happen
- How to Build a Better World

- Deluge
- Changing the Subject
- Continue
- Glorious Dream
- To Understand
- All Alike
- Branches
- How Long
- Lost
- Cherished
- Bursting
- Ceiling Tiles
- Mark
- A Moment
- How to Destroy a Democracy
- Absence of Shame
- Otherwise Simple
- Tools

Much gratitude to all the marvelous people who have made my poetry book and this website a success. I appreciate you all. Cheers, Guy.
